Project Quantity Surveyor – Medium Sized Contractor

Our client is a medium sized contractor involved in the civil aspects of building works including enabling works, demolition works, basements etc. They are a professionally run organisation but small enough that you would get to know everybody in the company. The company is in business for over 50 years and would have a strong reputation for staff retention.

THE ROLE:

Project Quantity Surveyor on a number of site development, civils and demolition projects

DUTIES:

You will be responsible for both commercial and contractual obligations, with day-to-day commercial activities such as submitting measurements/valuations of works and preparing payments for subcontractors.

• You will also liaise with the estimating, buying, and procurement staff to ensure accurate site records are kept.
• Negotiating with client’s representatives, sub-contractors and consultants
• Interim administration and settlement of subcontractors’ accounts
• Preparation of monthly contract review reports
• Preparation of monthly management accounts information
• Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement
• Assisting in preparation of loss and expense submissions
